The Indiahoma United Methodist Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ through love (open hearts), acceptance (open minds) and fellowship (open doors). Our objective is to provide an opportunity for both church and community to experience Jesus Christ as Lord.

Children's Sermon, January 16, 2011
Patrick started out with all the balloons together, each balloon a different color representing people of all different kinds. People don't always get along. Patrick asked the kids if they ever fight with anyone. They answered no. We know better than that!
Patrick talked about how fighting separates people and he gave two balloons to each child.
Before Patrick could reunite the balloons as an example of how God's love can reunite people, the balloons began to escape.
It was a very colorful, instructive and humorous children's sermon.
And the kids got to take their balloons home!
Happy New Year!
January catch up:
We had our annual New Years Eve party with card games, puzzles and food. We were able to stay awake long enough to ring in the new year (literally rang our church bell) after which most of us went home because it was way past our bed times.
We didn't have a church dinner and board meeting as it fell on the New Year's weekend and there wasn't any pressing business.
Patsy Stoll did a wonderful children's sermon on January 2nd. It was a birthday party for Jesus with balloons, cupcakes and a card to sign for Him. My camera batteries were dead and by the time I got replacements put in, the party was over. So, no pictures.
Joys so far this year include
- Micah and Abby Moeller are expecting a baby and Trey and Heather Carothers are expecting twins, all babies due in July.
- Indiahoma High School made national news when USA Today (JAN 3, 2011) picked up the story in the Lawton Constitution (DEC 28, 2010) about making sleeping mats for homeless people out of "WalMart" bags. (Bags from all stores are used.)
- Our church won a landscape makeover from our local FFA because we contributed the most food to their food drive.
