Advent: Why the Advent Wreath?

Again, Chuck (AKA: Chuck Knows Church) will explain it all to us.

Why Do we go to Church on Sunday?

The wise and wonderful Chuck Knows Church will answer that question.

What is God's name?

Have you heard this one?  God's name is "Howard."  The Lord's Prayer says so: "Our Father who art in Heaven, Howard be thy name."

Anne Lamott, author of Help Thanks Wow: The Three Essential Prayers says that for a long time she thought God's name was Phil. A man was making her a bracelet and promised to put Phil 4:4-7 (Anne's favorite scripture) on her bracelet. But he only got as far as Phil before he had to dismantle his booth.

Watch the following video and learn about God's name from Chuck Knows Church.

Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday Services
March 24, 2016
Indiahoma United Methodist Church
6:30 pm, meal provided

The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”  In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
